My attempt at posting a new Spotify based, 90 minute ‘mixtape’ every week only seemed to last for about 3 months, but I’m going to start trying to post them again. There was at least a few people who seemed to like them.

There were some things that got me distracted for quite a while and I lost interest in doing some things, like taking the time to sit and make up a playlist, but I miss making them, so here goes.

So the weekly playlists lasted, well one week. My old laptop failed on me just after posting the first playlist and for a few weeks I was without the Spotify desktop application. Without access to the playlist links it just wasn’t possible to share a MIXtape. To make up for three missed weeks, the new playlist is double length, equivalent to two 90 minute cassettes. I have split the track listing below into two sets. The second tape being a lot more mellow and probably depressing at the same time. There is quite a range of styles in this selection, some people might not like it all, but give the songs a fair listen anyway, you might like it.

I went to see Modest Mouse at the ABC in Glasgow on Thursday and I am going to see the Raveonettes on Tuesday, you will notice that has influenced a few of the songs.
